Hello everyone,
ok so it's been about 2 weeks since my last blog and I haven't show you guys how the set up was for my alcohol shoot. Let start by telling you guys that the shoot was interesting to say the least. The reason I say that is because well at first the style of my beverage wasn't translating to my picture. What I mean by that is that what I had picture in my head was not working in real life. The lighting had to be change a bit since well I had to shoot from a different angle. Now let me tell you make sure you have everything that you need and then some. Now the props that I used was a glass, limes, fake ice cubes, leave mints, and mojito mix. I shot my image on a white reflective table which at the end I end was not necessary since I crop out the reflection of the glass. I try using gels but they didn't work well with my shot. The equipment that I used was photogenic light kit, black reflector cards, pocket wizards, white reflective light table, one soft box, and extension cords. I only used one soft box on the light that was lighting the subject. The other two lights were use to light the table so no diffusion was necessary.
Camera settings: Canon Rebel T1i, ISO 100, F-stop 8, shutter was at 125(that really does not affect your image since strobes act as your shutter.) and white balance was set to daylight.
Here is a little diagram of my set up:
